Making Google more aware of your site

[Tags: , , ]. If you want to make Google more aware of your site, take a look at Google Sitemaps. These are intended to help the search engine's spiders catalogue your site - especially "If your site has dynamic content or pages that aren't easily discovered by following links". The spiders "will use the frequency information you provide in your Sitemap as one of the factors in how often they revisit".

The technology is still in beta as of writing. Sadly for some of us, the pages on "Using the Sitemap Generator" specify that "You must be able to connect to and run scripts on your web server" and "Your web server must have Python 2.2 or later installed."
